1971 Corvette Stingray, This car is perfect for someone who knows how to work on cars and would like to drive a 71 Corvette without spending all the money, All you have to do is put it back together, this car is a good driver. I would not spend tons of money restoring it. The car runs and drives, it would take about $1000 to get car on road. The car is an Arizona Car and the frame is rust free.
The engine is a 350 HP 350 rebuilt with under 500 miles on it it has 10:1 comp 71 LT1 heads 1975 block with correct casting # for LT1, Edelbrock Carb , Edelbrock Performer Alum. Manifold, Hot Cam, etc. TH 400 trans 3:30 posi rear.
The suspension has been completely rebuilt, every bushing, Bearing, control Arm, Trailing arms, ball joints, every part in the steering linkage, new spindles, rear yokes, springs, all of it, all of the money stuff.
The brake system has all been rebuilt, all 4 calipers, rotors, Backing plates and lines.
The interior has newly redone Black Leather Seats, good door panels and carpets.
All of the bumpers have been rechromed and are very straight origonal parts.
The body has been stripped and reprimed with 2 coats of Evercoat Urethane Primer, except for left 3/4 nose and front portion of right fender. Ready for putty and a few more coats, or just paint it hot rod black and be done with it. The fender needs to be re-glued on the left side at core support and rear of fender, and the fenders have a couple of cracks in them at the wheel opening. The rear of the body has glass work on the left corner and rear deck, the frame has had a little work done to it on left front horn. Thats why I would not spend thousands restoring it, but it is a good solid car, the bird cage is solid but has a days worth of work needed to fix some various small holes in it.
I have almost all of the rest of the parts to put the car together I just don't have the time to do it anymore. I have too many and I am selling off four of my cars, like I said this is a good car to throw together and drive, I drove it around the yard the other day. Thanks
Build date May 6, 1971, head casting 3973487, block 3970010, AC car, automatic, power steering/power brakes posi rear w/3:36 ratio
Car came from arizona I have old registration and title, and lots of paperwork, car has been around here for a while in various stages of restoration, I have slips for over $7000 worth of work and parts and it doesn't cover everything. I am just looking to get a good C-4 driver out of the deal, I don't have time to finish the car, and I have other Classics, Mark
